Professor Alon Kedem, MD, is the Founder and CEO of Cryomate. A prominent reproductive endocrinologist and academic professor with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, his extensive background spans reproductive endocrinology, infertility (REI), and clinical genetics, complemented by an active senior clinical practice.
Before founding Cryomate, Professor Kedem established one of the largest private sperm banks in Israel. Committed to advancing donor health, he was the first to implement exome sequencing in sperm donorsโa proactive step toward minimizing genetic disease risks and ensuring the healthiest outcomes for the families Cryomate serves. He routinely travels internationally to support and expand the companyโs global network of clinical partnerships.

Larissa Volz joined Cryomate in Fall 2024 as Laboratory Supervisor, bringing several years of experience in the IVF field. She holds a B.A. in Biology and an M.S. in Animal Science. During her masterโs program, she focused on reproductive physiology, conducting research on how sperm interact with the female reproductive tract and how these insights can be applied to IVF.
She is dedicated to advancing Cryomateโs mission through science, precision, and compassion. In the laboratory, Larissa oversees the analysis and processing of donor sperm, ensuring every sample meets our rigorous quality standards before reaching intended parents.

Dr. Kulak is a double board-certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist. He earned his MD from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, was distinguished as Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and completed specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Rutgers University. Committed to bringing patients the highest level of care, Dr. Kulak has developed new regimens and methods for improving and optimizing IVF success rates, including fertility diets and optimized medication use. His research has been published and presented internationally.

Jill Good serves as the Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Manager at Cryomate. With over 30 years in healthcareโincluding more than 17 years specializing uniquely in the IVF and ART industryโJill brings deep domain expertise to the team. She focuses on building meaningful collaborations and expanding the network of trusted partners who share Cryomateโs vision. Dedicated to advancing reproductive healthcare, Jill creates seamless connections that support intended parents and families at every stage of their path to parenthood.

Dr. Sheela Ali, PhD, HCLD, CC, TS(ABB) is an internationally recognized reproductive scientist, embryologist, and laboratory director with more than 18 years of experience in assisted reproductive technologies, andrology, reproductive tissue banking, and laboratory operations. Throughout her career, she has successfully led IVF laboratories, donor programs, and multi-site reproductive healthcare networks, combining scientific excellence with a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and patient-centered care.
As Laboratory Director for Cryomate, Dr. Ali oversees laboratory operations, quality systems, regulatory compliance, donor screening processes, and reproductive tissue banking activities. She brings extensive expertise in donor sperm programs, cryopreservation, laboratory accreditation, and FDA, CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory requirements. Her leadership ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence while supporting Cryomate’s mission to provide exceptional reproductive care and donor services.
Dr. Ali has served in numerous executive and laboratory leadership positions, including Chief Science Officer, Network Laboratory Director, and Scientific Director for fertility organizations across the United States. She has directed IVF and andrology laboratories, developed quality management systems, led accreditation and licensure initiatives, and implemented innovative laboratory technologies designed to improve reproductive outcomes and operational performance.
She earned her PhD in Developmental and Integrative Biology from the University of North Texas and her Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology and Andrology from the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Ali holds certifications as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD), Clinical Consultant (CC), and Technical Supervisor (TS) through the American Board of Bioanalysts and is licensed as a Director in California and Nevada.
Dr. Ali is passionate about advancing reproductive medicine through scientific innovation, education, and collaboration. She is dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their fertility journeys while helping shape the future of reproductive healthcare through excellence in laboratory medicine.

Samantha Augustyn, MS, LCGC
Samantha Augustyn is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor who is passionate about helping educate and support recipients, ensuring donors are making informed decisions to continue at every step of the process, and working with clinics to have a seamless experience with Cryomate. Prior to joining Cryomate, Samantha worked as both a prenatal and ART genetic counselor in the US and the UK. With over 10 years of experience providing genetic counseling to individuals and couples utilizing donor gametes to build their family and being involved in donor screening and selection, she understands the common inquiries that come up regarding donor suitability. Samantha holds a B.S. in Biology from Emory University and a M.S. in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University.
As a Cryomate genetic counselor Samantha meets with all Cryomate donors to assess suitability as well as helping to guide many recipients through the donor selection process.
